Valentines Getaway

Me and my love got to enjoy a last-minute valentines getaway when we realized we had a free hotel night that expired in February. It was such a wonderful time. We found a good Chinese place- we really miss NYC Chinese food.

 Peter brought me to a beautiful candy shop where we got a truffle for each of us- and they were close to closing so they gave us half a dozen free cupcakes!!! Yes please!! :)

We walked around a chilly, pretty, and deserted bricktown river walk and talked and laughed and made out. ;)

We realized that it was exactly our one and a half year anniversary this evening. :) What a full, wonderful time it has been! 

In the morning we got huge breakfasts (half off!) at Cracker Barrel and Peter showed me some other pretty places as we headed home. 

I am so blessed!! <3 

Pinterest who?

I came up with this idea all by myself! Doesn't happen much these days, seen as my creativity is all due to Pinterest. Until I figured out a way to get our Christmas tree out of our house without getting needles all over. I sat there thinking what would Pinterest do? I know they sell bags for these types of conundrums but ain't nobody got time or money for that. 

Enjoy my easy solution! 

Wrap a fitted sheet from the tree top to the bottom of the branches. Tuck bottom branches into the elastic part of the sheet. Repeat for the back side with a second fitted sheet. 

And voila! That dead thing was out of here without a trace! :) afterwards I just shook out the sheets and threw them in the wash. 

Easy and no mess! :) 

Wondertorium and a Happy New Year!!

   My family -minus my Dad :-( all came down for the New Year!  They drove over 40 hours to see me the baby. We had a great visit full of good food, games, company, ice skating, non-stop fighting over that little bald baby, a trip to the Wondertorium, shopping, and fun times. 

  I hadn't been to the wondertorium before, but it was a really cool place...hard to compare to Rochester's Strong museum of play, but nonetheless I know if I were a kid I would love to visit there.  :-) Even baby Peter found fun things to do. 

 Our friends that told us about the wondertorium were there, also! :-)
